Yards we would buy if we won the lottery

It is every equestrian’s dream to have their own yard. We have all lost time trawling property sites, daydreaming about indoor arenas with sound systems and American barns with chandeliers that are nicer than our homes. At KBIS, we are definitely guilty of our fair share of yard envy. So much so, that we’ve brought together our top yards we would buy if we won the lottery and popped them into this article for you.

Six yards we would buy if we won the lottery

From properties with palm tree-lined all-weather hack tracks to estates in the heart of the English countryside with enough land for all the horses we could dream of, here are our favourite yards we would invest in if money were no object.

1.      Ribbonwood Stables, North Texas, USA

Made by Clayton Boyd Luxury Barns, you would be forgiven for thinking this horse yard is a manor house when you gaze at the striking stone exterior. Sitting in a staggering 150 acres, the facilities at Ribbonwood Stables are every equestrian’s dream come true.

Inside the gorgeous barn, you’ll find ten gigantic stables with fans to maximise airflow and keep horses cool, a wash area with hot and cold water, a tack room that looks like it’s been plucked out of a country house kitchen  (complete with its own Belfast sink), laundry room, bathroom, office and a second story viewing area with its own patio. All that and we haven’t even mentioned the massive outdoor arena yet that measures in at 120 x 220!

2.      The Long Barn, Buckinghamshire, UK

Nestled in 15 acres of gorgeous English countryside you’ll find 5* equestrian facilities at The Long Barn in Buckinghamshire. It boasts eight Scotts of Thrapston stables, a 50 x 25m floodlit arena, horse walker, hot and cold wash bay, solarium, tack room with kitchen, hay barn, as well as a six-bay barn with electric and water.

Our absolute favourite part of this property is the fact it comes with its own 7.2 acre cross country course and has extensive hacking with bridlepaths that head into the dreamy Salcey Forest. When can we move in?
